2.12
Leader Olumba Olumba Obu teaches that man is incarnate on earth to be a temple
for God. He should be in full communication with God that dwells in him. He
should have full consciousness of God in him. This conscious communication with
God is between God and the spirit in man for it is the spirit in man that is
man. The physical body of man is a clothing that his spirit wears while on
earth because earth is a school place for the spirit of man where he can gain
experience, mature and grow into a perfect spiritual being. Unfortunately, man,
because of his sinfulness lacks this consciousness of God and communication
between man's spirit and God is cut off. Eternal life, that man shall achieve
when he gains spiritual transformation is an experience for the spirit of man.
It is his spirit that is transformed into spiritual longing for God rather than
longing for mundane things and with that his behaviour and action in life are
also transformed. Freed from sinfulness, man's spirit lives forever, for now
he, as a free and godly spirit, has full and continuous spiritual consciousness
of himself and God his Father who dwells in him. Once he achieves spiritual
transformation, the spirit of man does not need the repetitive incarnation he
has been undergoing to earth for his spiritual growth and maturity, for now he
is fully conscious of himself as a child of God, and conscious of God that
dwells in him. He now exists and manifests the will of God only, a purpose he
was created for.
