Holy Ghost."

Text: Hebrews 8:10-11
"For
this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,
saith the Lord: I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their
hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.
And
they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother,
saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the
greatest."
Brethren,
this is briefly what we are going to reveal to you this morning. It is going
to be a very short gospel. But it is a gospel for the Thomases. It is for those
who continue doubting the Almighty God. It is also for those who continue to
say that God is not in existence.
I want you
and all the inhabitants of this world to desist from argument but urgently get
into practicing the word of God for this is the time.
Any person
who denies Our Lord Jesus Christ; and refuses to adhere to the practice of His
teachings, will have himself to blame. He who also says that God has not yet
come is existing in delusion. Besides, he is a child of perdition.
He
who also says that there is no Holy Spirit in existence heads toward
destruction. It is incumbent on all the inhabitants of the world that they
should practice this gospel. If you are unable to practice any other word of
God, make sure you practice this very one. It is the ignorance of this that
plunges the whole world into difficulty and tribulation. God is true and His
words are true.
God is not
like a human being. Once He has spoken, His words must come to manifestation.
It is the promise He has made from the beginning of time.
The creations
of God cannot know God. The reason very many people fall apart and exist in
delusion about God is that they are living in flesh and blood. This is why it
is necessary that this gospel must be sent to the four corners of the world, so
that no person will have anything with which to defend himself.
Knowledge
cannot compel any person to know God. High education is not a means through
which anyone can know God. There is no secret society which will educate you on
the knowledge of God. No necromancer can know God. There is only one sure
way to the knowledge of God. That is, you have to confess all sins, you have to
denounce all the evil deeds you have been committing. You have to become truly
contrite and repentant
and
then get baptism by immersion. After this you will receive the Holy Spirit as a
gift.
Go and
announce this to churches to conform to the practices of the teachings of our
Lord Jesus Christ. Tell them to be contrite of their vices. That they should
refrain from fornication and
adultery,
from preparation of juju; and they should love one another. If not, they will
not receive the Holy Spirit as the gift of God.
At any moment
in time, let any person confess, and not continue in his sins and also be
baptized, he will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift. If a person does not
accept this, allow him to go his own way. Do not childishly discuss with him.
For if you do not have this Holy Spirit, you cannot know Him. You cannot
conceive that He is in existence.
In the past
people thought money could be used as an instrument through which they could
get nearer to God. They glorify their high educational qualification. People
boast over exalted positions in life. But today, the wind of change has
blown and created phenomenal changes in the world to make the Holy Spirit the
only issue for boasting. The Governments in the world also fail because they do
not possess the operative virtues of the Holy Spirit. The churches also fail
because they do not possess nor believe in the Holy Spirit.
All
companies, firms and corporations in the world fail because they neither
possess nor believe in the Holy Spirit. All institutions of learning have
failed because they have not believed in the Holy Spirit, and do not have the
Holy Spirit. Indeed, traders, farmers and people in all walks of life, fail
because they do not believe in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is that
cornerstone rejected by the builders, which has become head of the corner and
is esteemed as a wonderful thing. (Mark 12:10).
Any person
without the Holy Spirit is eternally dead. Indeed, possession of the Holy
Spirit does not consist of running the race but depends on the mercy of God. It
was the eternal covenant with the house of Israel. He said this is the covenant
which I will make with the house of Israel after those days. (Heb 8:10).
We are those children of God, the beneficiaries of this promise.
It is a
surprising thing to people, if you tell them that you have seen God face to
face; that you have seen our Lord Jesus Christ and you have also seen the Holy
Spirit. Indeed they will burst into laughter. But heaven and earth, will pass
away until everything is consummated. (Matt 24:35/Mark 13:31). Are these
words not fulfilled in your midst today?
Many little
children today know the Almighty God. Aged people have also known God. Even the
arch-argumentators have now accepted the present manifestation of God. There
are women who are stricken in age and do not really see things clearly but they
have now seen God and have accepted Him. Neighbor will not teach neighbor,
neither will brother, saying know the Lord, because everyone has seen Him and
all have known Him. (Heb 8:11).
In the time
past, people searched for God in the moon, star, sun, etc. They went to
Jerusalem, Jericho, to mountains, inside water, and everywhere in search of
God, but they could not see Him, it is for this reason that our Lord Jesus
Christ made a far-reaching statement saying: "Wherefore if they shall say
unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the
secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightening cometh out of the east,
and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be." (Matt 24:26-27). Do not advise any person to come to Calabar
that he/she will see our Lord Jesus Christ. Do not go there, if anybody tells
you about God, do not go there. For the new covenant does not tell you that
unless you go to India, England, Israel or Nigeria, you will not see God.
He
is everywhere. Whether you are in India, England or America,
and a
person comes to you, tell him to kneel down, confess all his sins and denounce
all his membership of secret societies. Let him become truly repentant and take
him into the water for baptism by immersion. As soon as he emerges from the
water, he will receive the Holy Spirit. This is a challenge I have
thrown to all the inhabitants of the world.
If you claim
to be a doctor, there is no argument about this. But kneel down, confess your
sins and become contrite and repentant, accepting the baptism. After you have
gone inside the water three times and come out, see whether you will not speak
a different tongue.
If you claim
to be a member of the Catholic Church, whether you are a Pope or a bishop, or
an ordinary member, once you confess your sins and become repentant, go in for
water baptism three times then come out. You will never fail to see a great
difference in yourself. You say you are a great society man; that you can go
into the Sun, the moon and star; that you can go into water and anywhere. There
is no argument about this. But first come to the Brotherhood of the Cross and
Star and confess all your sins. Denounce your membership of the secret
societies and become truly repentant. Go three times into the water for
baptism, when you come out, you will see a remarkable difference in yourself.
Do not begin
to contemplate in your heart saying, "I had already been baptized in the
church where I am a member. I am an Elder." When you were an Elder did you
receive the Holy Spirit? You say, "I am a Reverend Gentleman," when
you were made a Reverend, did you receive the power of the Holy Spirit? You
claim you have established a church, when you established, did you ever receive
the Holy Spirit?
It is a
covenant that a neighbor will not teach a neighbor saying, "Know
God." Every person, from smallest to the greatest, will know me." (Heb
8:10-11). Never enter into foolishness of trying to teach people to know
God. Whenever God makes His covenant, He stamps and seals it. If you like to go
to the Sun, or go to right or left, or anywhere there is only one way of
salvation. That is, if you are not born of water and the Holy Spirit, you will
never see God, you can perform nothing effectively without the Holy Spirit. You
will never possess wisdom and you will be incapable of doing anything without
the Holy Spirit.
He had said
that unless a precious blood was shed, I will not come back and I will never
forgive people of their iniquities. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "It is
expedient that I go away, for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come,
but if I go, I will send Him unto you." (John 16:7). God has never
disappointed any person; and He will never disappoint any person.
At one time
He said if a seed of corn does not fall on the ground it will remain alone. (John
12:24). But after it had died, it germinates and brings so many fruits.
Have you not realized this? Have you not realized how the death of Our Lord
Jesus Christ has yielded so many fruits unto the world? That is why, in
spite of the long stay of the disciples with Our Lord Jesus Christ, they could
not understand Him. Because they were not endowed with the power of the Holy
Spirit. From time to time they requested to increase their faith. But our Lord
Jesus told them that He would not do anything until He was absolutely veiled with
power.
In a state of
anxiety one day, Philip said, "Lord show us the Father then we shall be
satisfied." (John 14:8). This is because they often took pleasure
in hearing Our Lord Jesus Christ referring to all his performances to the
Father. He would continually say the Father did this, the Father did that. They
were confounded, and curiously would like to see and know that Father. But they
would not see Him because flesh and blood cannot see Him.
Do not argue
with any person about the scriptures. Any person who argues that God is in
existence, that our Lord Jesus Christ came and that the Holy Spirit is in
existence, tell him to forget about it.
Tell him to
get himself ready for baptism. Do not take him to baptism in water near Ambo
Street, so that he might say that you have probably introduced incredible
things unto the water. Take him to water distant from Ambo. Let him take the
baptism there. Provided such a person confesses all his sins and denounces his
membership of secret societies. He should as well empty his heart of all
grudges against people. He should denounce and right away disassociate himself
of juju and all forms of concoctions. Let him throw himself into absolute
contrition over his sinfulness then get himself baptized. He will certainly receive
the power of the Holy Spirit.
This
is the only way. There is no other way. This is the reign of the Holy Spirit. It is
impossible that you can pass through the windows and enter the house. You
cannot take a roundabout road to get into the house. It is imperative that you
must pass through the gateway. Then the great usher will open the door for you.
If this direct way were to be of no importance, why did Our Lord Jesus
Christ go to John?
Our Lord
Jesus Christ in childhood was taken to the temple for blessing according to the
order of Moses. Further, according to the law of Abraham, He was circumcised.
Yet the two systems were not relevant for Him. In order to fulfill that which
was written in the scriptures, He went on His own volition to John and requested
for water baptism. Then He was baptized through immersion by John. John argued
that He should rather baptize Him. But Our Lord Jesus Christ said, "do it
now, for so it is right we should do this." (Matt 3:15).
This can
clearly show you that baptism is very necessary; it is the only key which
can unlock the way to the Father. There is no other possible way. It was
through this way of baptism that Our Lord Jesus Christ achieved the divine
grace, that as He came out of water He was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit. The
voice came out proclaiming: "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well
pleased, hear ye Him."
For a period
of 29 years, He was in Jerusalem, going about; no person knew Him and had not
even a disciple. His name was not heard abroad. From the moment He went
through the normal process of baptism and received the Holy Spirit, His name
generated an echo of prominence. Then He started the work. The Holy Spirit
led Him to the wilderness and He started doing marvelous works. He started
raising the dead, making the blind to see, deaf to hear, the dumb to speak and
the lame to walk.
Now you say
you want to serve God. You want to be the minister of God, you will first go to
Canada, Britain, America, India and the rest of the countries in the world to
study. I ask you, is God's work ever subjected to human studies or learnings?
You go to university to study. Stop studying again and worrying yourself about
it. Go and process yourself through baptism and receive the Holy Spirit as a
gift. Right from that moment you go through this, you will preach the
gospel; you will heal; you will see God and know Him and His power. Right
now you are arguing like a foolish person. A person on top of a palm tree says
the palm fruit is not ripe but you stay on the ground and say it is very ripe.
Are you a sensible person?
A
person who has been baptized and received the Holy Spirit, tells you that he
has seen God face to face. That he has seen Our Lord Jesus Christ; that he has
also seen the Holy Spirit and the host of angels, you argue with him and hush
him to shut up that Jesus Christ has not yet come; nor has the Holy Spirit. You
are still on the ground.
I do not even
talk about those people who pretend to be baptized by pouring water in the
basin, and sprinkling it on people's foreheads. What is the meaning of that? I
would not like to talk about those who wrap a flag around people's heads and
describe this to be baptism. Can this be found in the Bible?
